I really don't understand.

I really don't... How the hell does a place where people work in rice fields, don’t have running water or electricity yet they have high speed internet access.

Yet, people in the richest nation in the world are still using 20+ year old technology to connect.

What is it going to take for the US to be blanketed by wireless mesh internet access, at an affordable price?

$50 dollars is not affordable, nor is $40 or $30. SH!T we pay enough in taxes why can't high speed internet be something like 10 dollars a month or no more than $20.

It's probably because they don't have all the other electrical stuff cumulatively causing interference.

The USA is not the richest nation - some folks in the US have lots of money, but most of the folks are pretty poor. And there are a few that think their gravy train is just around the corner.

Look up "cargo cult" on da Wiki - that is what many of us are like, believers in magic. Good thing about believing in magic is that, in general, you have unlimited bandwidth inside your head. But if you let it outside your head then watch out for the men in white coats.

Another thing to think about is, "Where is the money?". So if a company or group assists an overseas country, then ask, does the US co get tax breaks or what "favors" does it accrue.

Americans are the wealthiest people in the world, according to GDP/GNP. But, it's a whole lot simpler to just say, "but most are poor." You have never left OZ, have you?
