| sounds like an unusual case
it's possible that if you have too many phones (especially old ones) and/or fax machines tend to cause problems with fios. have you tried unplugging all of your fax machines and but one of your phone devices to see if that has any effect on the echo problem?
since you already have years of time invested in fios, i think you should hold out to have the situation resolved, especially since you are happy with their data service. you need to escalate your case higher up the food chain. -- Experience one of the most beautiful women on earth at PetraCentral! |

| I have 2 phone lines. The phones are relatively new and only am using 3. These are the same phones and configuration I had on the older ONT. I have unplugged them and went to the ONT and experienced the same issues. The second line has a fax machine on it, and goes down when the main line does. I believe there is a heat problem in the ONT. When you touch the outside, it is hot to the touch. Unlike the older version, there are a lot of items in a small box which leads me to believe the issue lies there. These problems did not exist before they swapped the old ONT out. It may have been ugly but it served well for almost 3 years. I may try o file a Presidential complaint to see if that will get Verizon moving. |
