Clone the modem's MAC address into the router and you should be good.<br><br>Swamp - You can't have it both ways.  Bridge mode turns it into a dumb modem. They look similar, however I would like to keep my wireless ability after setting the mode/router in bridge mode. Also, when this is done, on the router that I wish to use (Netgear FVS318), should I connect Ethernet Port #1 of the 327W to the WAN port of the FVS318? Also, do I have to mess with this VersaPort setting that I have seen in the configuration page for Port #1 on the 327W? ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[mooware posted : sorry to resurrect this thread but going through it, i still can't get the netav portion to work and i'm not sure if I should create a new thread for this.<br><br>i have the westell 6100. these are the settings i have: <br>-under vc config = the first available bridge is enabled.<br>-editing that bridge = protocol is bridged and mode = routed bridge.<br><br>my router is a linksys wrt150n. netav works locally, internet works when these are the settings. when i change routed bridge to anything else, internet does not work. not sure what other information i can give. total noob here.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Jodokast96 posted : It has nothing to do with Westell or any other brand.  It's the way the whole concept or sharing a connection works.  You need something to route the connection to everything else.  Whether it's the modems built in router or a seperate one, it will all work the same.<br><br>Using the modem in Routed mode, your problem is with your location free player, right?  That's probably because it's IP is on a different subnet.  Can you change it's IP?  If not, change the Westell's DHCP IP range to one that includes the same subnet as the players.  That should get everything working together.<br><br>A single pc with a dialer means just that.  You will be able to use a single pc and nothing else.]]></description>

It can only pass it to a single device, which is why you normally send it to a router. <description><![CDATA[buonadomenic posted : Hi,<br><br>setting up DSL here for a friend and the new Verizon DSL Modems have a completely different GUI then the previous modems. <br>The Modem modem no is: E90-610015-06<br>Rev: J   06/2007<br><br>how do I set this up so it will work with a router. I looked up the previous instructions and they partly apply now with the new GUI. <br><br>Any help is appreciated.<br><br>I have done the un-check Private Private Lan but what else do I need to do?
