Rural is where its at, I survived many years of being a bus operator with the LACMTA-SCRTD and don't miss the rat race one bit. -- Semper Fidelis. 231 Years Strong. |

| reply to MoJeeper I read that wrong. I thought it was 17MB, not 17GB. That's a fair allotment for the average user IMO. Hell, I just hit 14GB after 20 days and I did download a crapload of music the other night.
I do envy those enjoying the suburban life, it's not like I'm trying to come off as a snobbish city slicker. |

| reply to Network Guy said by Network Guy :17MB download cap on their most expensive tier before someone is FAP'ed?!? That means one would get capped after merely downloading about four MP3s! Who pays for stupid shit like this?!? One might as well get an EVDO or EDGE-enabled phone and tether for the web. Costs less and you'd likely have more generous caps. We don't all choose to live in the urban setting. I happily gave up DSL and the great state of Kalifornia to give my family a better life.
Who pays for shit like this ?
3 of my neighbors have wild blue and love it. They must be doing something right if the are closing down spot beams due to the amount of under served consumers in rural areas of the country.
I have EDGE from AT&T I'm happy with it. Its not the fastest but for downloading school work and my everyday Internet usage its great.
IF I need to download a big file I just drive into town and find the first bonehead with his router unsecured and freeload off them.
Its 17GB not MB and some users that is more than enough. Were not all "Heavy Downloaders"
Ive walked a mile in your shoes. Why don't you try and walk a mile in mine. |
