I watched the game last night (the first few innings) and there were a lot of empty seats. The record is set, so they don't need him anymore. You couldn't find a seat till he did it, and hes not playing anyway.
They will probably have some kind of farewell ceremony in the hopes to get the stadium full one more time.
But what can you say....his marketability is done now. Time to move on. Thats the reason they signed him to a one year contract only. It should have been obvious then.
Honestly, if he was smart, he'd retire. Unless he hasn't invested smartly and would have to find a real job.... |
