Telcos Deserve Immunity

Hell, praise them for being an active partner in winning this war.

Telcos deserve immunity from legal action the same way good Samaritans who report suspicious activity also deserve immunity from legal action. For many people, and organizations in general, the mere threat of legal action is enough incentive to prevent them from doing the right thing.

Pursuing legal action against the telcos is just another attempt by the treasonous domestic Fifth Column to support our enemies and ensure our defeat.

They broke the law. They should be punished severely.

Besides with this much publicity about wiretapping anyone doing illegal stuff and using cellphones to communicate deserves to be captured.

This is the same sort of mentality that led to the accusers of the "Flying Imams" to be targets of a lawsuit by said imams.

The easy thing to do is to simply invent a crime and prosecute the telcos for it, then when the next time comes around that the government needs information from the telcos, they will be quite hesitant to comply, for fear of the same sort of response.

Well discrimination is illegal too. Nobody is above the law. What would you do if something like that happened to you?
Violating someones privacy with no warrant and no reason is not a crime?

If I was slighted by an incorrect police action, I would pursue relief. Cops at all levels of government will make mistakes (or commit malicious acts) with the power given to them by the badge. However, the fact that these things can happen doesn't mean that government should NOT use its powers to prevent terrorist acts.

Good ol' phn, still beating the BS drums skinned by The Chief Retard in the White House?

Nobody takes you guys seriously anymore, now an average-dumb teen can easily see through your 'terrorist acts' BS cliche.

They broke the law. They MUST PAY.
Together with the administration, of course.

PNH,

Please do not ever leave your home. The world's a dangerous place. Open your bunker or cellar, and be sure to make it a padded room. After all, going outside is risking one's life. I hope if you do venture into the real world, you wear a bullet proof vest. Did you know 20-22,000 Americans fall victim to murder annually? You definitely aren't safe in the real world without one. Best yet, around 40,000 people die in car crashes yearly. Do you wear a helmet, a fire suit, and protective clothing every time you drive? 40,000 is quite a lot of deaths. I hope you are well prepared each and every time you step into the car. You risk life and limb facing the challenges of the real world. Wait, now you are saying I don't do any of these things. Well, my guess is you don't. Why, because one would consider you to be quite peculiar if not crazy.

On this basis, why the hell should we lose our rights for 4000 Deaths by terrorism over the last twenty years. Let's see, abortion clinic bombings, school shootings, anthrax scare, eco terrorism, and best of all, Oklahoma City. Hot damn, all domestic terrorism perpetrated by Americans. Get this, the second worst attack on our soil was done by Timothy Mcveigh. Now, let's toss in the two foreign attacks Both WTC (first and 9/11). Total deaths... as I said before, around 4000. In this same timespan, a million people have died in car accidents and around 500,000 in murders. Let's see. Thats a 250x greater risk of dying in a car and a 125x chance of falling victim to murder. Yet, in your assessment, we should be handing away our rights to some intelligence community to make us safer? Really? You believe this crap? I bet you do. After all, your reasoning skills seem heavily impaired. If you for one moment believe trading these rights will make you safer, you are gravely mistaken. To make matters worse, without the checks and balances of the court to oversea these programs, AMERICANS, NOT FOREIGNERS, are being looked in upon. That's right, the FBI photocopied utilized 100 + FISA letters to get information on us (courtesy of a congressional review). Couple this with the fact NONE of us know who the NSA is listening too, and you got a dangerous situation. Simply put, people like you need to use your brain to think about what you are advocating. Until then, your attitude and lack of concern quite frankly DISGUST ME!

Well it's proven by that alone. You my friend hate this country, what it stands for, and the door is wide open for your departure. That is of course, when you turn 18 and become a big boy. You really can't go far living in your mother's basement, being twelve, and talking a lot. Anyhow, at this point, anything further you say is BLAH BLAH BLAH, we don't give a crap. End Rant now =).

So in your view, the USA stands for allowing its citizens to be killed by anyone who wants when it might be prevented?

Nope. However, since you can't properly read this conversation as a whole, I'm not going to rehash the same tired argument. Obviously, it doesn't sink home anyway with you. Read my posts and then come back and reply. Until then, you don't warrant any further response.

JC, I'm afraid you've not realized we're at war. Muslim extremist have declared war on us, and they will not stop until you are dead. If you would like some holiday reading, grab yourself a copy of the Manchester Manual (Al-Queda Training Manual.) Then tell me what you think.

We're at war? Really? Murderers take 20-22,000 American Lives Annually. Car crashes kill 40,000 per year. Christians have murdered around 10 million historically. Yet, Muslim extremist are at war with the U.S. A war that has taken 3000 lives.... Sounds like a real war..... or could it be fear mongering. In summation. Christian terrorism:

Crusades

Spanish Inquisition

Holocaust - Hitler backed by Methodist, Baptist, Catholic Church.. 6 million dead.

Serbia - Ethnic cleansing that killed 1-200,000 Muslims

(See proof in previous post).

Not to mention all above problems in the U.S. IE murder. Lets see. Murder = 20-22,000 deaths a year x 20 years = 440,000 Deaths. Terrorism to include School Shootings, Unibomber, Abortion Clinic Bombimg, eco Terrorism, and get this Oklahoma City have claimed no more than 4000 people in twenty years. Let's not forget, the SECOND worst attack on American soil was done by a White Christ Terrorist. Does that mean ALL Christians now declared war on the U.S. Should we hunt them all down and lock them up through stereotyping? I guess by you logic, yes. Now, the only two foreign attacks are the World Trade centers. While all these are travesties, they by no means require us to lose our rights. To assume the acts of a few should run how we live is ridiculous. Do you go outside wearing a bullet proof vest. After all, 20-22,000 people are murdered EACH year. Do you wear a helmet and padding every time you drive? Once again, 40,000 people die in car crashes. Do you keep a watchful eye on your Christian Neighbors. Timothy Mcveigh killed 800 in the second worst attack we've ever had. No, No, No, is my guess. Why? Because a few bad things do not dictate the direction of this country. Hence, the isolated acts of a few should not be reason to trade in our rights for false security. If you want real security, increased airport screenings, barriers between federal buildings, and plain old common sense prevail. Those types of measures apply to all areas. IE. Real security is had by properly screening MOST passengers for contraband (applies to all scenarios), preventing people from parking too close to certain key buildings, etc. However, wiretapping Americans and trading our freedoms offer nothing but more power to a government vying to enter our lives. Therefore, anyone that thinks they are safer by losing rights, is only fooling themselves.

So my friend, the only war we're at is the one you've created in your own mind.

80 million Muslim extremist? How do you get that figure? Man you are just a wack job in a nutshell. Get out your tin foil hat, bullet proof vest, and helmet. The world is too unsafe for you to be out in public. Best yet, pad your rooms, and you should be fine. In the mean time, we'll get you a plane ticket to china so you'll be safe with 0 freedoms. You also won't have to worry about Christian Extremists there either. The government will monitor every aspect of your life. To ensure 100 percent safety, be sure you are GPS microchipped and register your where abouts 24/7. This way, if they don't hear from you, they know there's a problem. You are no longer capable of caring for yourself. China will do everything it can to ensure the best for you. Just be sure not to speak out, then you get a bullet to the back of the head. Please remember your freedoms don't exist when you leave this country. Enjoy the flight and 0 rights.
