7.0 is to old,it's up to about 10.2 now...

I sould say 7 is a bit too old. I think you would be fine with 8 however the problem is your engine must be really out of date. There also wasnt spyware protection until version 9.

Is this OK or should I upgrade to a newer version??

However, I update my defs every day, but is it still OK to run an older version though??
