Earthlink is known to be re-evaluating its various initiatives. This PR indicates some prior thought on the part of the exiting provider, it implies that they will still exist afterwards - so it is probably only a division of a larger company that is being shut down. While I don't think the actual number is public, I do think Earthlink trueVoice is only around 12k customers and surely hasn't lived up to their hopes. I suspect they are arranging a clean exit.
