We have FiOS here and my Comcast Internet access has remained $42.95 for going on 6 years now.

Verizon must be high, $47 for 5 down, I pay $2 cheaper of almost 7 down with RR. Verizon can eat me. 5 down is fast enough for anybody.

5 down is not fast enough more like it. I could not go back to 5meg from my 10meg with cable.

I don't know what the big deal is, you got FIOS, the price seems fine to me. You have a fast connection, use it to your advantage.
