 So...

Now that AT&T Southeast, formerly Bellsouth, is now under the AT&T TOS, all server restrictions are lifted. So if we want to host our "personal" web page from home we can.

I need to add that if a customer wishes to do this and has a "Residential" or "Business w/ Dynamic IP" connection they need to use something like DynDNS. Look up "DDNS" or "Dynamic DNS."

This is because such connections use dynamic IPs, which change sometimes and makes it harder to find the PC on the Internet. DDNS solves this problem by updating the records as the IP address changes, so that www.somewebsite.com will still point to the PC.

I had to mention this for those who might not already know.

No, they just simplified the terms to a more restrictive broadly worded clause.. Effectively banning all unattended P2P applications, this would include torrents, WWW, FTP, SMTP, etc..

from the AT&T's new TOS..

"12. Restrictions on Use & Storage, Prohibition on Resale"

"You agree that the Service is not to be used to host peer-to-peer application that you are not actively using. You agree that the Service is not to be used to trunk or facilitate public Internet access (“Hotspots”) or any other public use of the Service."

What exactly is a "peer-to-peer application that you are not actively using"?

How do they know that I'm not sitting in front of my computer while I'm seeding a torrent?
