I've got the F5D8230-4 v2 firmware version 2.01.02 boot version 1.00.00 and I've had the same drop out problems. Update says my firmware is up to date. I have two wired Macs and one wireless Powerbook. When connected my signal is strong and uninterrupted. Every couple of days the router would just drop the connection. The problem apparently has been with the wi-fi. The wired Macs were often shut down while the laptop was online. If the laptop went to sleep the drop out would often though not always occur. What has seemingly solved the problem in a clumsy way is to keep one of the wired Macs turned on. It can be sleeping but apparently the wired connection is enough to keep the router working. Without the wired and on connection the router seems to suffer from ADD. When it drops I would have to power reset the router to get it to produce the wifi signal. |
