Gunga DinPremium join:2005-12-15 Bellmore, NY kudos:5 1 edit | My vote goes to other - Vortec. I don't use it much these days, but My favorite was Pirch. It was said that the author of Pirch PolerGeek passed away so development stopped. I don't know why Vortec is so unknown considering how many pirch fans were out there.
"Vortec IRC was developed as a response to a lack of Pirch updates. Vortec is not meant to be a replacement for Pirch, but rather a client which looks and behaves similarly in order to offer a logical choice to users who would like to try something new, but still maintain the same ease of use and flexibility which was characteristic of Pirch."

I have used mIRC since 1995; even made my own scripts etc. I even had a #beginner chat channel which my husband and I co-owned and taught users how to run mIRC for over 10 years.
Haven't IRCed in about 2 years though so I clicked on None also. Lost interest after finding BBR. -- "Dismissed. That's a Starfleet expression for 'Get out.'" Capt. Kathryn Janeway We CAN Cure Alzheimer's and Cancer. JOIN US HERE |
