I haven't used IRC in a while but back in the '90s, PircH was my favorite (with the PIK4 add-on).

Re: [POLL] IRC Clients - 2008 Member Choice

My vote goes to other - Vortec. I don't use it much these days, but My favorite was Pirch. It was said that the author of Pirch PolerGeek passed away so development stopped. I don't know why Vortec is so unknown considering how many pirch fans were out there.

"Vortec IRC was developed as a response to a lack of Pirch updates. Vortec is not meant to be a replacement for Pirch, but rather a client which looks and behaves similarly in order to offer a logical choice to users who would like to try something new, but still maintain the same ease of use and flexibility which was characteristic of Pirch."

primary client is mIRC w/ sysreset script, with mIRC /w UPP as secondary.

I also use X-Chat on my linux VM and laptop, as well as have the chatzilla extension for fire fox installed.

Thanks for the poll!

I have used mIRC since 1995; even made my own scripts etc. I even had a #beginner chat channel which my husband and I co-owned and taught users how to run mIRC for over 10 years.

Haven't IRCed in about 2 years though so I clicked on None also. Lost interest after finding BBR.

I don't do much with IRC but the few times I did I used a program called ICQ which may not even be around anymore.

Thanks for the poll Lanik. Also voted mIRC and none...haven't used IRC in years. Doesn't seem to be much time left in the day by the time I've finished reading BBR topics and threads.
