Your Tom Waits kid won a Best of Houston award from the Houston Press yesterday for the Best New Song About Houston.

| Re: Quick Saturday game Strangely, it's one of my least favorite songs of his. Thanks for the link though, the obsessive types on the Tom Waits forum will love it
Maybe I should have referred to you as the Honorable Mr. Hartsbeam?

| Re: Quick Saturday game The link is right, though. I'm not sure what street he's describing but its not Fannin. The covers of it seem pretty bad, but I didn't find a Tom Waits original on Youtube. Maybe I'll check Usenet.

| Re: Quick Saturday game There is a song by Leadbelly called Fannin Street also... there's a bunch of covers of that floating around. Doubt you'd find a Waits version anywhere, more likely to see the John Hammond cover. It's kind of an obscure track.
I feel like it would be mean to tell them that it's not a new song, he wrote it 6-7 years or so. Maybe it should be disqualified.

| Re: Quicky Mafia - game XXXV - Sign up Now! I am currently on the west coast, so I doubt that I will be awake then.
depending on how many people are signed up, I would like to start between 8-10am my time, so that would be 10-12 CST. Fair enough? -- If it is not recorded, it simply does not exist.

| Re: Quicky Mafia - game XXXV - Sign up Now! I'm not saying it's Dezbend's fault or anything, just because he was in the dream and it was all his idea, but I had this nightmare last night where I overslept and you started the game without me, and even though there were only 4 people signed up they managed to write about a million pages of analyis before I got there. And while I was desperately trying to catch up, people kept breaking into my apartment, and I discovered that none of my locks worked, and then we found this stash of silver coins behind the broken lock while trying to replace it, and then this guy showed up at the back door and wanted to steal the coins, and somehow throughout all of this I was trying to eat a bowl of soup...
I'm a little worn out now...

Johnny Premium join:2001-06-27 Atlanta, GA | Pretty good response! One more and we can play C9.
Or, I could play two roles and not have any private communication with myself.

1 edit | So, assuming one more person shows up, this will be a standard C-9 game. Which means the format will be one of the following (I will randomly select and not reveal the result).
1 Cop, 1 Doc, 2 Mafia, 3 Townies 1 Cop, 2 Mafia, 4 Townies 1 Doc, 2 Mafia, 4 Townies OR 2 Mafia, 5 Townies
I will use standard role definitions, and normal rules will apply.
With the exception of very short days/nights. -- If it is not recorded, it simply does not exist. -- Learn to play Mafia on DSLr.
