David posted : I got your number in direct it looks like the order is completed. I would say at this point confirm with the modem you have no sync at the nid. If not at that point I think you are up to a field tech. I posted some information in direct for you. All I need is just the info.

Thanks
David
--
If you have a topic in the direct forum please reply to it or a post of mine, I get a notification when you do this.
Koetting Ford, Granite City, illinois...
David posted : Well I can still track it if you want. Just post the number over there in a new topic.

lemme know, also not sure but you might also check this out to see if you have service working to your location.

»How to test at the nid/sni/gray test jack

That will tell you how to take your modem out to your nid/sni/mpoe and test your service should you have a problem and need to find out if it's inside or not.
--
If you have a topic in the direct forum please reply to it or a post of mine, I get a notification when you do this.
Koetting Ford, Granite City, illinois...
gopnick posted : I will go there and try to get help if I haven't received any more help from ATT by Thursday morning.

I called this morning and they admitted that a "glitch" prevented them from seeing problems with my installation and that I had a new due date of 10/3 by 8pm. They apologized and said over-and-over again that they thought the level of service I'd received was unacceptable. I can accept that. I'll gladly edit my review if this goes well.

In the meantime, thanks a lot(!!!) for your offer for help. I will give the system a few more days to work it out and I'll follow your link at that point if it isn't resolved.

Thanks!

gopnick posted : If anyone could help I'd be very happy to accept that help! :)

As of this morning, I still don't see a sync light. I saw at the CID that they are using the green & red pairs, which seems to be on the inside pair in the plug when I unplugged it to plug the modem directly into the CID. I still don't get a sync light, even at the CID.

I may try that test again today, though nothing should have changed since I tried that on Friday.

What else do you suggest?
