You can connect the ATA's phone output to DEN/PR1 and it should feed voip to all of your phones.
However, if the wiring was incorrect you may have lost one of your apartment jacks. If the wire coming from the phone company was actually on the right side (and you removed it) then you would have to reconnect the Blue/White pair on the left side. |

1 edit | reply to Nick61 I was wrong again. That test jack is special. When you plug a phone into the test jack, it disconnects the house phones from the line and only allows the incoming telco line from the phone company to feed the test phone. You will need to connect the ata to the house phone side in order to get it to work. |

Could this box be for alarm service only? We don't subscribe to that.

| reply to Nick61 It is possible that someone mistook the input phone wire from the CO and connected it along with the telco jack output wires on the right. Try connecting a phone to the test jack, then remove one lead from each wire on the right until you lose dialtone. That last wire would be the feed from the phone company.
The object is to simply find the pair of wires that come from the phone company and remove them from your phone network. Then connect the phone line from the ATA into your phone network somewhere.
Good luck. |

@QWEST.NET | reply to Nick61 Are any of the cables marked feed? Wonder if someone hooked up the wires wrong. For this type of thing a toner comes in handy. |

| reply to Nick61 PR3 to PR6 on the right have nothing connected to them.
You have removed the PR1 (blue pair) and PR2 (orange pair) on the telco side and still have dialtone.
This might not be the right NID for you apartment.
You don't currently have you broadvoice device hooked up to any of the jacks do you? |

| reply to Nick61 Since this is an appartment building, I would double check you are at the correct NID as you may be looking at the incorrect one.Is this NID outside? make sure to reconnect those you have disconnected. Typically, on single line phones, pair one (white/Blue) would be the pair that is used. -- Embarq DSL 1500/586 | Voicestick | Skype |

Disconnected orange/white (on left side below blue/white) and dial tone remained. This is an apartment. |

2 edits | reply to Nick61 Someone correct me if I am wrong but couldn't he just take a phone with a rj11 connector and connect it to the Network interface test plugs. This should isolate the lines in the apartment without have to remove wires.
Example if he plugs the phone pr1 the lines should drop on everything connected to the PR1 section.
This would tell us what pair he needs to remove. |

join:2004-08-29 Dallas, TX | reply to voiplover Well I disconnected white/blue on the left group below "INPUT FROM TELCO." This did not stop line service. I connected the phone to the kitchen jack and got a dial tone. |

voiplover Premium join:2004-05-28 Portsmouth, NH 1 edit | reply to Nick61 Try plugging the RJ11 phone cord into P1. If it will hold in place you are in luck. If not you may want to get a phone jack and some spare wire, then run a green and red wire from the jacks terminals to where you disconnected the Blue/White pair. |
