NEW MODEM!

I just opened a self-install package and instead of the 4100 there is an even smaller, silver Motorola unit - don't have a model number.

GUI is pretty much the same as with the 4100 - 5100B.

The address to access the GUI is 192.168.1.254.

Anyone else seen one yet?

It's installed at the client's shop - no pix - sorry!

It's pretty nondescript - just a little silver thing with five lights, like the 5100B or 4100: power, Ethernet, DSL, Internet, Activity.

It's a Motorola 2210, but you didn't hear that from me.

All I hear is the peaceful chewing of cud.

The GUI looks and acts the same as the 4100. It's smaller and lighter and comes in a smaller box - probably aves AT&T a few cents per unit, which comes to a lot in the end.

If it has »192.168.0.1/techreadout.htm, that would be great information to grab... so I can adjust the scripts I've got to handle it.

In the case of this modem it would be 192.168.1.254/techreadout.htm - it's one of the only obhvious differences.

Dave was helping me with a difficult migration the other day and mentioned that they would be heading down the pike, but I didn't expect it this soon.

Is Netopia a Motorola brand? I didn't think so.
