Thank you for the idea on the DNS servers. I pay a lot of attention to security, and ran Spybot and Adaware among other things before attempting on Fedora. When I attempted running my unaltered Fedora Live CD from RAM I felt that this should remove the malware question. I just tried these putting these servers, ORSC Public Access DNS Nameservers 199.166.24.253 199.166.27.253 , into my router and the forwarding didn't happen. Switched back and it came right back. The first person I spoke to yesterday told me that it wasn't happening with the servers they have set in Louisville, but said that it could be happeing in Lexington and initiated a ticket. He then e-mailed me back telling me that it was a legitimate function of yahoo search, but I didn't understand how he was able to determine this, or why this would have any relevance to me given the situation that I mentioned. So am I right that this is definitely pointing to the last guy lying to me when I asked if he tried Insight IP's 74.131.0.20 74.131.0.21 and told me that they seemed fine? Does any one else experience this if they attempt entering those Insight IP's? |
