These backroom deals are exactly how citizens end up with their futures tied to crappy agreements that should never had been approved.
Then stick with your current choices: cable or satellite. How is adding a 3rd competitor anything but good? If you don't like Verizon, don't use 'em. Simple.

PS- what on earth does a franchise agreement have to do with speeds Verizon offers?
