OK,

So how does the RIAA expect to sue everyone that has an open wireless network? Some people do not use WEP or WPA security, is that a crime?

And what if people use removable hard drives? Then download to one, and swap to a clean load. What then?

The IP address is assigned to the router/modem, not the private network computer. That has a 192.168.x.x IP address.

Its a tough call...Perhaps he industry should start encrypting their content?

Yea that is how it usually works but this lady was using kazza and used the same user name for her share folder that was used else where on her computer. Caught red handed I would say.
