Love that picture I hate NBC I'm just curious on how the hell would they create routers that block piracy? I think people would just not buy the routers and the company who makes it would go out of buisness.

Sure would seem so. Let me see here...

Pirated movies --> fewer people in theaters --> less popcorn sales --> decreased revenue for farmers

Uh-huh.

And this here rock prevents tiger attacks in Springfield, right, Lisa?

Never mind that "decreased revenue for farmers" is debatable proposition in itself...

Gee, and I was just beginning to like "Journeyman"...click!

The only REAL losses are from people making CD-R/DVD copies of music and movies and selling them on the streets, which seems to be huge in southeast Asia.

Not some stupid downloading/uploading.

" using the argument that said trading hurts corn farmers by cannibalizing movie theater revenue. "

Bull-patties - hell, the movie theaters near my house, all big chain theaters, are PACKED every weekend all day and night. That's why we don't go to the movies on the weekend (especially at night).

The Blockbuster near my house is also packed on weekends. Have to get most of my movies by mail because the store doesn't have enough copies. The film/ DVD business is thriving from what I can tell. They're breaking records every summer! Nobody I'm friends with or work with (I'm in IT) actually gets their first-run movies off the Internet...
