AT&T starts deciding what customers should access

... is the day their common carrier status and safe harbor should be REVOKED.

A couple of years later, they will either:

1) no longer censor and filter, and regain their common carrier/safe harbor status

2) Be bankrupt, buried in legal judgements from lawsuits alleging they failed to protect little jimmy from porn, that Billy ray went on a shooting spree after playing too much Halo 3 online via AT&T, that they are liable due to downtime caused by virus infection that they failed to filter, etc etc bs bs bs

At least, we could hope.

More likely the future in the USA is the walled garden Internet called "Happy Corporate Propaganda Land" (Consume, swallow our spoonfed BS and like it) and "Fun Kidzone" being all we're allowed to access.

This is why the duopoly of Telco/Cable must be smashed. They want to be the gatekeepers with the keys, with all the customers locked up as little slavesumers that they control.
