1 edit | iPhone sync question and activation
I'm trying to plug my iPhone into a Macbook Pro which has never had an iPhone on it before, and I can't get it to show up in iTunes. The software is patched, and I don't have "disable syncing" check in preferences. Also, iPhoto does recognize it.
My second question is my boss purchased a spare iPhone and I'm trying to help him figure out how to bypass the AT&T setup/activation so he can sync his iPhone backup to it. -- "To create a new standard takes something that's not just a little bit different. 1 edit | what version of itunes? From apple.com you need itunes 7.3 or later for the iphone to work with itunes.
why does your boss need to have a backup iphone synced up front? Can't really see why he needs this. His iphone settings are already backed up on the pc or mac it's connected to. If required, he could restore that to the replacement iphone and activate it using his existing att account at that time. |

| reply to Nemokrad He needs a backup because he is the owner of the company I work for and he can't afford to be out of a phone for the time it takes to get a replacement/loaner. He's been keeping a RAZR around for backup previously. -- "To create a new standard takes something that's not just a little bit different.
