Re: Cannot connect during mornings So you are getting a PPPoE authentication failure? Your SN Margin and Line Attenuation look fine. I had a similar problem a few months ago,it turned out to be a bad card in the RT that serves my area. My neighbor also had the same issue.  p9ing join:2002-08-27 Champaign, IL | I don't recall authentication failure being in the error messages. The messages had to do with PADS and other usual diagnostics. (I'm not in front of the log right now.)
Thanks for mentioning their hardware being a possible factor. I'll try to look into increasing timeout values on my end, and if that doesn't help, I'll post AT&TDirect. |

Attached is the spectrum analysis for PPP hosted on the modem. (If PPP is hosted on the computer, there never is any internet activity.) According to the modem web pages, authentication with the PPP server fails and "the far end did not respond to PPPoE requests". PPPoE server connectivity passed however.
