| I didn't update as the 3rd party native apps are more valuable to me than the minor updates. In addition the iTunes WiFi store is slowly rolling out ("most major metropolitan areas in the U.S. by the end of 2008") and I have no intention of using it. |

I don't use gmail for that, but I do use an IMAP server at my ISP. Works great. -- Iraq Coalition Deaths | bobrk |

The iTunes WiFi store is available now anywhere your iPhone picks up a WiFi network. What is being rolled out is being able to see what song starbucks is playing when you're in there. -- "The only thing thats worse than being blind is having sight but no vision."

I've got my work e-mail (IMAP) set up and I can read everything with no problem. If I delete a message on my iPhone, it's deleted when I check Outlook on my desktop. I just can't send mail. I always get a connection with server failed message. It worked fine with 1.0, but stopped with 1.1 and 1.1.1. |

| I can send mail fine, but I'm not using any kind of exchange system (IMAP or not). Check that your password for the SMTP side is correct. I had that get forgotten on one of those updates.
These updates really suck as far as robustness is concerned though. As I've pontificated before, the last two have resulted in me having to do restores on my phone, including the SMTP password and WiFi passwords. -- Iraq Coalition Deaths | bobrk |

I had that get forgotten on one of those updates. I've triple checked the password and even completely deleted the account and added it back.
