I just read the following article in Multimedia News regarding the NHL Network to all Time Warner systems.

A friend in Manhattan already has the NHL Network on Time Warner-Manhattan since Oct. 1st.
When will the Buffalo, NY market be added since it is hockey season? |

I don't think there are any plans to add it yet. I spoke with a CSR about two weeks ago asking about TBS HD (which there are no plans to add) and he only mentioned MSG HD for the Sabres games. I would think that he would have mentioned the NHL Network too if he knew anything about it. Of course, it was just a CSR, not a higher-up. |

| The Fox Business News is debuting on October 15th and they also have a national contract with Time Warner. Manhattan TW begins to carry it right on the 15th.

It seems that Time Warner Manhattan seems to get everything right on schedule. The NHL Network debuted on October 1st there. |

Buffalo, NY | The Fox Business Channel was added today, October 15th but the NHL Network still hasn't been added. Rochester and Syracuse both added the network so why not Buffalo? |

Looks like TW Buffalo isn't getting the NHL Network. While I like the NHL Network I'd trade it to you in a heartbeat for Sabres HD coverage.

| I think Time Warner WNY is making a huge mistake by not adding the NHL Network. The Buffalo market does huge ratings for the NHL and to be locked out of a top market is poor marketing.
As far as the excuse regarding bandwidth, they found bandwidth to add the Fox Business Channel and assume they could add the NHL network the same way. |

Well, it looks as if Time Warner reversed its position regarding the NHL Network in the Buffalo market. This was in Alan Pergament's column today 10/17/07:

It looks like Time Warner in WNY will be adding the NHL Network shortly. The Buffalo market will have more hockey choices in ever before with CBC, MSG, Sabre HD, NHL Network and the NBC games. For the real hockey fan, you can buy the NHL out of market package on digital cable. |
