They hit me for no such fee when I got my DVR box.<br><br>My Motorola Comcast box is a wonderland of jittery HD feeds that remind me of a YouTube streaming video with buffering issues.<br><br>I was watching the Phils beat Washington 2 Sunday's ago in HD, and every time there was some "action" in the game, it lost a few frames, and then picked up.<br><br>It was INFINITELY  OBNOXIOUS.  I was so pissed I wanted to head to the local Comcast office with a hammer and smash something ;).<br><br>Instead, I had a nice spot of scotch and put my feet up.  I'll be able to drop Comcast soon enough for Fios TV, so sooner than later I'll be voting with my all mighty dollar.<br><br>Wanna screw a cable, TV, or ISP provider? They will add the code to the billing system and you will get the new Tivo firmware downloaded to your DVR.]]></description>

I loved using my DirecTivo because it was intuitive and easy to use. That, and I was able to hack the piss out of the OS for tons of functionality.<br><br>But when I try to use DVR's like Comcasts Motorola with their own software, it's frustrating to no end. ]]></description>

They will be providing their standard Motorola and SA boxes with TIVO <b>software.</b> This software should clearly be better than what they currently have installed, but the DVR's may not be as good as a pure TIVO device.
