Wow I remember

the first university backbone, a hot-cha-moo-cha-cha 300 baud. in the early '70's we thought we were really cooking.

When you are interconnecting super computers (SC) and setting up remote access to them 100Gbps is really needed. This will save a bunch of money in the long term universities can go together and set up regional Super Computer centers in very secure locations, perhaps deep underground in Salt mines and such.

What a minute isn't this how the Terminator thing got started?
