Six computers (5 WinXP, 1 Vista) and no two have the exact configuration.

Products used on all six computers:
•Spybot Search & Destroy
•Spywareblaster
•IE-Spyad
•BOClean

Products used on select computers:
•Windows Defender (Vista, with an advanced membership in Microsoft SpyNet)
•Spy Sweeper (Vista)
•MVPS Hosts File (Vista)
•SpywareGuard (XP x 2)
•Ad-Aware SE (XP x 2)

Product used on select computers but not listed in the poll:
•Zone Alarm Pro's Anti-Spyware (XP x 3)

Nothing is ever found during scans with Spybot S & D, Ad-Aware SE, Windows Defender, or Zone Alarm Pro.

Thank you for the poll, blackdragon1 See Profile.

SuperAntiSpyware is my main one, with Spybot as backup. neither has real time crap running, mainly because I very seldom use IE.

None of these products ever detects anything more than the usual cookies.

I mainly stick to Spybot, SpywareBlaster, and Windows Defender. I gave up on Ad-Aware since it was getting a bit bloated.

I've also pared down considerably on the AntiSpyware software used.

Other: AntiSpyware in BitDefender AV 10
SUPERAntiSpyware
SpywareBlaster

Been reading about and thinking of giving ThreatFire a trial as an alternative/replacement for BOClean 4.22. (One of those who does not care for the Comodo BOCLean EULA)

I've been using Regprot since Win98 along with the others I voted for in the poll. I'm also currently running/testing Mcafee security package. I'm not sure what it's actually called so I posted an attachment. When I'm being bad, I run Sandboxie.

Terrific poll blackdragon1, Thanks!

Gotta start with 2 old favorites;
SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard.
They're the dress on my computer.
SuperAntiSpyware. Good program. I've run it in realtime and also on demand depending on what I maybe trying at the time.
And right now I've trying out ThreatFire Free.
Been working very well
I can't forget WinPatrol Plus. Another mainstay for the last several yrs.

I used to use Ad-Aware,Spybot Search & Destroy and Spyware Blaster. But since moving to Wndows Vista I only use Windows Defender and Avast and have not gotten any spyware or viruses on my PC yet. I also use Vista built in Firewall and hardware firewall. It really was over kill before.

I still use Spyware Blaster for IE although I seldom use IE. Other than that, I have Avira Personal Premium which has excellent spyware protection and the Proxomitron with Sidki's filters.

Great poll blackdragon1 See Profile !

Lets see....I use SuperAntispyware and, um....gee, I guess that's about it.

I've used many others in the past, but don't bother any more. (Never found anything back then, and still don't).
Rarely bother to run a scan even with SuperAntispyware these days.

Thanks for the poll blackdragon1 See Profile.

I voted for Spybot S&D and AdAwareSE but only use them about once a month for on-demand scanning. I also use WinPatrol Plus real-time which is more than just antispyware.

I was glad to see someone mention Firefox with "NoScript". I think it's great protection, especially against some of the 'Zero-Day' exploits that pop up.

As far as the other things I use, it's Spybot S&D (with Tea Timer running), and Spyware Blaster running resident, AdAware SE once every month (or so..), and HijackThis regularly, especially after new installations.

Great poll! Sorry I haven't been around to participate lately. I'll try to focus more of my attention back here. This web site is such a great resource.

Spywareblaster
Ad-Aware SE
Spybot Search & Destroy

Spywareblaster is a must for anyone I help with there computer, because it works without any help from the user, but updates and makes my work a lot less...

I use on various machines Ad-Aware SE, hosts file, Spybot S & D, SpywareGuard and Spyware Blaster. On my Vista computer I have only used Windows Defender, but I plan to at least run Spybot and Ad-Aware on it just to see how Defender is doing.
