Hmm sound too good to be true... Someone Post a Speed Test of this speed if you have the tier of 20/20 and maybe will believe you!

Wow, the 50/20 line?! How much do you pay for this?
Oh, God, and FIOS will only come to my area in December or January!

There is no 50/20 line - there is a 50/10 tier in the NYC area. I assist with 'testing'...I posted the results to show the 20M upload results for the new 20/20 FiOS tier.

But the 50/10 tier is kinda expensive. As I can see by reading this thread, the 20/20 tier is much cheaper.

I can not believe Verizon.

I am soooo pissed of.

They ran the cables about 2 years ago where I live in Fresh Meadows.

About 8 months ago, they wired everything up except the difference for MY block and the others west/north of mine which are only a few.. is that we didn't get any of those "black boxes" installed on the lines.

The part that pisses me off so much you must be asking??

Its been 8 months since they ran this, and we were told the end of the year we would see everything go live for the area.

Here I am, sitting here punching in addresses from across the street on there website, and Fios is available!!!
When am I going to get Fios in Fresh Meadows, and Why did they randomly stop with my block, the one next to mine, and the one north of mine????!?!?!????

When I called FIOS up on the 10th to speak about the current service price, I asked them if they had anything faster. They had mentioned to be 20/20 for 69.99. Which isnt bad at all.

Hrmm! 50/20? Nice. I had 50/5 service and just called to see if I could change it to 50/20, but they said that was not available. I was however able to switch to the 20/20 service. How did you get the 50/20, did you speak with a service rep or was it done via their online account management page?

PS I live in Bayside, NY.

Thanks!

Blunted I hate you . I've been wired since may, and I'm a few hundred feet from the central office, but they won't sell me service. Meanwhile you're like a mile away.

I'd sign a 10 year contract if they offered me that 20/20 deal...

Nice, they can't even give all of their customers the 20/5 tier, but they release this.

Totally classy.

I thought you were on a business plan? So you got $65/mo for a business plan? How much more for a static IP?

Man, that makes my piddly 15/2 look pathetic. I am fine with 15 down (in fact, 10 would be fine). But I'd love more upstream...even if we got the 20/5 upgrade that a lot of other areas got, I'd be happy. 15/2 is great, but 10x the upload? *drool*
