MP WIRE : MARGANA - Todd Hartsbeam, the honorable mayor of Margana was found in critical condition at his home this morning, after an apparent assassination attempt. Hartsbeam was rushed to Margana General and is currently undergoing a ‘reverse evisceration’ procedure. Prognosis is unknown and investigations are underway. Moll Kid, The mayor's bodyguard, was overhead saying "Oh this is terrible. I thought that Martin Shagen left a hell of a mess. That was nothing. Anyone got a shovel?" Moll also reports giving authorities a handwritten note found at the scene. "It was hard to read with the blood and such, but said something about 'codes' and a physically impossible perverse act which will take some contemplation."
Moll also reports 4 weapons missing from the mayors personal collection: a katana, a broadsword, a shortsword and a silver dagger. "Why all the weaponry for one kill? Best I can figure, the killer grabbed one, the mayor another for defense, and then a few towns folk heard the commotion and armed themselves to help the mayor, but that's just speculation. I hope the weapons are returned. There's quite a bit of history behind them."
An anonymous stranger also reports seeing three armed and bloody individuals fleeing from town in the early morning hours. "Looked like two of them were chasing the third, all with blades unsheathed ready to kill each other, it was one hell of a sight".

The Weapon.
Each player knows his attribute.
There is exactly one mafia scum who commited the act. He also knows of one attribute which will not be claimed by any other player.
There is exactly one sane witness who can identify the mafia attribute.
There is exactly one delusional witness who thinks sh/she knows the Mafia attribute, but actually knows the sane witnesses' attribute.
The witnesses do not know if they are sane or delusional.

Rules
- Out of thread communication is prohibited. If you are contacted outside of the forum about the game, please let me know.
- Posting your role text is not allowed.
- Ambiguous hints are allowed.. best paraphrased from the above URL:
"However, it is usually forbidden to hint (rather than fully claim) a color. For example, you may not say "my shirt is/is not one of the color's of the rainbow"; or in a game with US States: "I am from the South". Claims such as this make it impossible for the Murderer to construct a fake claim and if hinting is allowed the Witnesses will always win."
Note
In this variant, four attributes are listed. The forth is the optional fake claim for the mafia to eliminate an inconsistent fake-claim. The mafia will be told of the unused attribute, as "at their disposal".

| here is the thing.
What I hold has been claimed by someone. There are only two possibilities.
1. the insane witness saw me making me sane
2. the mafia made up a specific claim that matches what I hold (a risky and bold move I can't rule out)
Therefore as soon as I know if you hold/saw the weapons you claimed I will be 100% sure of which is the mafia...

This is how it went.
Navy says "silver dagger"
I say "Broadsword"
Dez says "shortsword"
I say "I know you are lying because I saw the shortsword"
Dez says "I have the broadsword and saw the shortsword" (after I had said broadsword...).
All of this equals Dez Lying.
Up to you navy. Do you believe me or Dez. |

| So the real chain of events went:
Navy says "silver dagger"
Muzscman say "Broadsword"
I say “I saw shortsword”
Muzscman say "I saw the shortsword"
I accuse you of lying and vote against you
You accuse me of lying and vote against me
You are implying that I am a copycat, but the chain of events clearly shows you are the copy cat. You are purposefully muddying the waters as can be seen in your:
1. ambiguous first claim
2. blurred version of the chain of events (you leave out the part of my specific claim)
3. your reluctance to cast the first vote*
*by casting the first vote I proved navyvet’s innocence, you were reluctant to do so as it is bad strategy for the mafia to eliminate a suspect so fast in the game.
The facts show that YOU are the mafia, and I trust Navy will see through your attempt at obscuration.
I have been forthright and specific with my information and what I have been thinking from the beginning. I have nothing to hide, whereas you have been dropping hints that could be later turned depending on how the conversation goes.

insane:
navy- has silver dagger, saw broadsword
muz- have broadsword, saw anything else.
chlen MAFIA -has anything else, plus option.
sane:
navy has silver dagger, saw broadsword
muz MAFIA has broadsword, {saw short sword. (claims)}
chlen ???- has broadsword (Claims), saw short sword.
here is how i see it.
as option 2 doesn't really match up, i am pretty sure i am insane, and muz is sane, which leaves chlen the mafia killer. and he is holding the short sword, and given that muz popped he has the broadsword, leaves him not much option, but to similiar claim.
the biggest thing that makes it so that option 2 doesn't match up, is that no one claimed to have seen the dagger, which i hold, because that would make me sane. so that make me the insane witness.

i am the insane witness.
the kicker is that i know i am not the mafia, and that no one saw the silver dagger that I own. only option i have is to be insane, and saw a broadsword.
don't think that it could have been a miracle shot by muz to guess broadsword, which is what i saw.
