Letter from Charter, Rate increase and New speeds

Received a Charter update today....They were going to move about 30 channels around, add 4 HDTV channels and a few new digital.

Also 3mb service will be discontinued February 2008, but new 5, 10 and 15 MB tiers will be available....Price increase after all adjustments is $4.00 based on 5 MB service, new tiers, box rental decreases and new ESPN Hockey league which we wont want....Hope they adjust for that, and bringing back the NFL would be a hell of lot better for Football fans than Hockey fans in Southern California.

Service is a lot better since they brought a lot of there customer service back in country....Hope it stays that way.

So what you are saying is the 5 Mbps tier will be $54 instead of $50? Doubtful. Also it's 16 Mbps not 15. So right there I question the acuracy of this info.

Someone else posted 5 Mbps is droping ot $45 from $50 so someone is wrong.

I was told my free upgrade to the 5MB would stay at the current price of the 3MB I was originally at. $42.99.

Cork, it does stay at the slower speed price for one year, then we will see.

I am getting 5MB at the house down there for $29.95, because I had the bare boned internet service there. What was it 386...784 I don't remember. My son and daughter are happy that is all I know.
