Here are just 2 pics I am trying to set as transparent- but I cant it right for some reason

| alright... i did this quickly so it's not very good. first, get a mask around the area you want to remove. i used a magic wand, then did the finer details with the freehand. once you got that around the picture....

| then you press delete, making sure the background colour isn't used in the picture. then you should get something like this... then go to file > export > gif optimizer. select the transparent region as purple in this case, and save. hopefully it should be saved with transparency.
