dfish3r join:2004-11-11 Christiansburg, VA | Broadband Options I live in Christiansburg and am now a Jet Broadband customer. So far the service is worse than what Suddenlink provided. Connection speeds are highly variable and I see latency spikes all the time. (Although the evening hours are the worst.)
I thought I would mention NRV Unwired as a option for those living in or near Christiansburg. »www.nrvunwired.net/ I've heard nothing but good things. Unfortunately, I can't get line of sight for this service. (even despite my constant pestering...)
If anyone else is aware of little known providers please post their information. Competition is good. |

 | Thanks for the info. If it's available for me I'll be switching. |

Chaded join:2007-11-08 Radford, VA | reply to dfish3r Unfortunately NRV Unwired is not available for me in Radford, However I recently stumbled upon Citizens. Their High speed isn't available for me, but their wireless coverage seems to be available in most areas that are suffering with Jet Broadband.
»www.citizens.coop/internet/mobil···and.shtm 12 month contract, I'm gonna try and get a trial, but we'll see how that goes. Has anyone here had experience with this company? |

Chaded join:2007-11-08 Radford, VA | Called them Monday and they came out Tuesday to set everything up. They even asked what time worked for me and showed up at exactly that time! So no taking half a day off work to wait for them to show. So far I'm very happy with the service.
They don't offer a trial, but if you aren't happy and cancel within the first 30 days they'll refund any equipment you had to buy, and prorate the bill for however many days you used it. |

 | It would be nice if we had options like this in Lebanon, unfortunatly only Jet is available but Verizon says DSL is on its way, then bye bye Jet. |
