Re: Optical mouse vs. laser mouse hipgnosis, why do you say both are safe? and what is "intrabeam viewing"? anyways i took Ryan's suggestion. after taking a second look at the review that Ryan mentioned, i decided that the first mouse i had in mind wasn't right for me. i just got my logitech G5 today, which is a laser gaming mouse. it's working very well! hopefully it lasts a long time |

The G5 is a great mouse IMO. I also have one of those on one of my computers. |

| reply to someperson It's not like it is a class IIIb LASER, the output is small and is somewhat divergent for a LASER. They are probably a class I LASER products based on the new rating system, you can read about LASER safety classes here:
»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_safety
There is nothing to worry about, if there was, believe you me I'd be making a BIG fuss about it, I was a LASER safety officer for a job.
Enjoy your mouse, glad you have it!!! -- You know your life has gotten "DICEY" when it turns into an episode of LOST, like my ex wife, who I swear is one of "The Others". Do something useful with your computer, join Teams Helix and Discovery and help find a cure, you could be the ONE that does! |
