ports for printing

When you install the printer server on your XP machine, it should create a port called something like "SMC100". You will now have ports for printing like "LPT1:" and "SMC100".

For Windows XP, you can use TCP/IP Printing. Configure the Printer port to the IP address of the SMC Router (192.168.2.1, in case if you are using the default)

SMC100 Ports are applicable to those Windows version which do not have TCP/IP Printing, namely Windows 98 or Window 95.
