The tech is claiming that the modem is not accepting the power boost turn on bit. That error never showed until the Docsis 1.1 upgrade.
I think I hit a wall here since even the upper level tech gave up and just said the modem is too old. I still don't believe it, I think they just don't want to take the time to figure out the bits required for linksys. Sounds like you have extra hours of time, maybe bug comcast until you get some answers from your side.
Of course, to save some $ during the unemployment, perhaps drop back to the economy 768K service. |

| I don't see anything above 384k....I've got the 4meg/384k connection....more up would be nice but then again I may just cancel it all, buy a laptop and go to the coffee shop...10 months of Comcast buys a laptop that will do everything I need.
I agree...my guess is that it's a relatively old modem and these guys are not going to give you any answer other than buy a new one...it's easier for us..
While I have the time I do not have the patience to deal with them unless I'm down...life is way too short!
