You people are acting like having something ugly and having nothing at all are the only choices. They're not. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out. These companies don't have to be such a**holes about this.
Around here the boxes are going in fairly unobtrusive locations, and some of the equipment is going underground. A little coordination at the local level is all that would be required. There is no reason that the local communities should not be able to have a say in this.
