The Forth Amendment to the Constitution is being re-written as we speak to make it easier for the government to spy on it's citizens and people applaud it.
At what point do those, who have no problem with this, draw the line at the continuous intrusion of the government into our private lives?
At times like this I think a line from the last Star Wars movie is appropriate and oh so true: "So this is how liberty dies... with thunderous applause." | |

New Haven, CT | Actually yes. Our liberty (or expectation against unreasonable searches by the government) is dying at the expense of security and people are cheering it on.
I do find it interesting that people who support the ever increasing government surveillance avoided answering the question about where to draw the line. Should we just install microchips in everyone and let the government track everything we say do and where we go? How far is to far for government surveillance? | |
