ok so i spoke to tsi a few times in the last few days and i am almost on the verge of losing it.

when i was on bell i was getting 2496/640 stable.

i am now getting 1180/640 intermittent.

i'm at bathurst and finch in north york. i looked up my number in telcous and i am less then 2.5 km from co. i know this is not the wire distance but is there a remote in my area. i mean there has to be because there is tons of buildings here and i would love to be on a less loaded slam.

this is not a good experience with tsi since the move from hse.

first i am double billed for activation.
then billed again for a dsl login.
then my dsl act date gets pushed back twice.
then peer1 starts getting all screwy over the past week.
and to top it all off i am having slow speeds and intermittent synch issues. my snr levels are all lover the place... i never even knew dsl synch -11 margin was possible.

someone from tsi please please do something about this.

4 billion HEC errors an hour? 1200 CRC errors an hour? There are some serious issues there, I look forward to the responce from Bell regarding this...

Wouldn't it be faster to post this in the tek direct forum. But yeah if this were happening to me I'd be frustrated too. Wonder what happened! Hang tight Infamousid this could get bumpy..

dude i dont understand how a line can get like this just by switching isps. well the stupid part was. i waited 48 hrs for tsi and bell to respond. bell closed the ticket saying the line was stable... this was not at all true given the look of the dmt screenshot. i demanded tsi open another ticket cuz it seems like the line is not mapped properly and bell probably troubleshooted someone else line other than mine. i am not happy right now.

Assuming the physical has been verified onsite...
-very bad modem.
-Bad port (DSLAM)
-if client is on aerial drop, the drop is not connected properly and when the cable moves causes errors.
-if client is on an underground feed, the feed is old or roting, or has a bad connection in pedestal or nid.

Agreed, he did mention he called in and spoke to one of the agents and I trust they would have verified all of the physical setup....I would however like to test a different modem on that line to see what the error count looks like...

tested on:
ss5200
ss6520
2wire2700
2sire2701

not aerial drop deployed.
it's underground. line condition is great.
this line was a brand new install. tech was here 4 weeks ago and put in fresh new jack and line.
i think its a map error. but anyways tech was here. looked at it verified the flux. couldnt do loop test cuz line was a primus line and bell tech cant run diagnostics in the field to clk lines. so he put in a request for a port change.

now i have to wait 5 hours to see if things improve. i am starting to see a flaw in the way resellers have their setup and infrastructure planned out. its silly that these 3rd party vendors contract bell techs to troubleshoot their lines but yet dont give them the basic things needed to be done.

You do know that nobody contracts bell techs, that it is Bell that owns the lines right???? That is why bell techs have to do it.

you do realize you should read the post on e more time. to my knowledge the infrastructure belongs to bell but. the dial tone itself is still coming from primus. it's still a primus line. that primus pays to have their customer at a bell co. but from bells co it still goes through primus after that. so yes they do send bell techs to troubleshoot the physical line but no they cannot do anything real because all those cool numbers they type in there colt to do readings and drop the line voltage ans so forth are not provided to them by primus or rogers or futuretel or any other 3rd party reseller. so in short YES it is belll physical line that primus uses to deploy a primus dial tone. BUT no that primus line doesnt use bell's DMS.

**update**
alright... so the ticket was reopened. and it looks like i am getting punished......

1728/384 interleaved.

CHEERS.......

how does this happen? from 3008/800 fast stable to this???
losing it here bro. the mrs. and the kids at home are kinda demanding answers in an asian language to me now.

seems like the only winner in this situation is that internet cafe down the block making money off my kids homework for the past 3 weeks.

I AM NOT HAPPY!

Wow I have to wonder how people ever survived on 56kbps modems for dialup! I mean 1.8mbps... wow that is horribly slow.

well the question is.. is it stable. Sure it's a speed better then nothing and certainly way faster then 56K. but to be honest in my opinion if it was stable enough to use it even occasionally I'd live with it till it's fixed. Prob is kids have no patience which i know for a fact.

to be honnest im having simular issues... i only dropped a few bytes, i haven't looked into it yet but i suspect it to be the wheather change... try disc all phones and just plugging in your modem to your nid testing port.

whats your stats (disc the physical line if possible and easy to do)

4567923 hec errors ummmmmm
11 gaps...

oh and now i have no synch at all. does that answer your question? btw there is no phones connected to the line which is not possible anyways since this is a dedicated line with only 1 jack for this line in the house.
