So if this wholesale data-mining on customer data is such an effective tool in fighting terror, how did that whole 9/11 thing go down? It's looking more and more like this was in effect pre-9/11. Or are the backwater terrists that much smarter than our NSA/CIA/FBI?
One can imagine that if there's immunity, then there's not going to be any lawsuits, which means little bits of info about when the program actually started and what the scope was will never see the light of day.
All I can say about the Dems is, that sure ain't brass dangling between your legs. More like shrivled prunes.
