| U-Verse freezes my internet and my t.v. shows!
I had U-Verse installed two days ago. My t.v.s and my internet all operate with the same router/modem. (I don't know which it is.) The red light keeps coming on, the signal is lost, and my t.v. and internet freeze. I contacted AT&T tech support; they didn't know what to do about it. My brother thought I might need a different modem. He changed the modem for his Verizon Fios setup, and it handled all the traffic better. AT&T support said there is no other modem that they can provice. I cancelled U-Verse the same day, due to recurring dropped service and no hope of it's ever being fixed. I'm getting cable; otherwise, I would have to pay DirectTv to put my cables back the way they were. AT&T, of course, will not do that. They also said I would be without internet for 3-5 days after my service is dropped, if I chose to go back to the former AT&T DSL I was using. I have to use the internet for my college classes, so I'm done with AT&T. |
