AND I WOULD imagine that the cost of a new tuner, and having it installed, would be about or equal to a new tv .

Hooking a tuner up is as easy as hooking up a DVD player or cable box. You can do it yourself for free. As I said you get a $40 coupon from Uncle Sam to go towards your tuner. And you can get on for $80 so that's really $40. And the prices will probably drop by Feb 2009.
