Re: my u-verse died! Just came back up here in Indianapolis. Interesting is that my internet never seems to have a problem whenever outages of tv happen. This is the worst outage on my tv service and have to consider a change now...just too much. |

Maybe this outage fixed some of the more repetitive and aggravating problems some of us -- like me, for instance -- griped and groaned about.
Believe me, I ain't sweet on U-verse. My posts show it. But, I still got this little nagging pinging in my ears that says maybe they'll still come through and get it right. |

How would that fix any of the issues we've had? Wishful thinking? |

This is first outage I have had since last november, when they botched another upgrade. This still makes it more reliable than my previous provider. |

Behind all my complaining beats the heart of an eternal optimist. How would an unplanned (or botched upgrade] outage fix anything we complain about? Don't know, exactly. In addition to not knowing the technics of the restoration I also do not know the incidental repairs which may have been made in accomplishing the restoration. Don't know whether it is fantasy or evidence, but sure seems like I've suddenly got a consistent volume level between low, middle and high channels where I did not have it before. Drove me nuts cranking up the sound for HBO and dialing it down for the local news. (Even the level between commercials and features seems more even.) Picture seems better. Menu response seems faster. Haven't noticed any pixelation. Won't know whether it is fact or imagination until I've fiddled with it and watched it for awhile. |
