@comcast.net

It's their network!

and they can so anything they please with it. end of story. what comcast is doing is not that big a deal in any case as bittorrent downloads aren't affected. But if you can't handle it, LEAVE! it's that simple. i know some of us have a single broadband choice, but there's always dialup.

Wow! So because it's "their network" they can do what ever they want?

A world in which the United States is a capitalist country.

BS. This is the internet and they need to respect the protocols.

Otherwise, they should not be advertising themselves as an internet connection.

Wrong.
US taxpayers contributed over 200 Billion to these companies to ensure a minimum quality standard of internet service, which has not yet been delivered.
The citizens of the US own the connection.

That is nothing but self-serving clap-trap. The companies own their own networks. They have very specific obligations to their communities set forth in regulations and THAT is IT.

So if it is MY CAR can I go as fast or slow as I want? Can I RUN OVER people trying to cross the street?

They are also affecting Lotus Notes, NOT just torrent files. Siding with Comcast shows Net Neutrality is dead and so will be the Internet as we once knew it!

Thanks for nothing!

Comcast is an ISP which provides a public service to the consumer. There are rules they must follow. They can't just do what they want.
I would recommend you start informing yourself by reading a bit before you write such nonsense.
