attachment post to email

I have a functional form developed that utilizes a cgi script (FormMail) to post results to an email address. One of they ways that I am using this is to submit resumes... However they do not have "attachments" as where one could attack a resume in *.doc or *.pdf etc. and post it to the email. I was wondering the best way to go about this. I don't think its possible to do this via cgi script, but my server utilizes PHP4... So I could probably have some extra control there. Any pointers? Im not concerned about security issues.. such as scanning the document first before putting it to the email. I just need a simple, basic way to post the document from a form.
