CableCard Based?

I'm curious if it uses a CableCard or if it has Comcast's built in decryption hardware.

I thought all the new hardware had to be CableCard based?

No, only newly purchased equipment must have CableCards. All cable companies can and will continue to use all existing equipment in their warehouses.

It will use whatever box you have it's just a software upgrade, no new box.

So you still have all the box issues PLUS you get a SHINY NEW TIVO FEE on your comcast bill!

I thought the Moto box issues were software not hardware related?

How do you know that the box issues would follow Motorola to the TiVo SW boxes?
