I watched the video the first time and I clapped afterword. Ironically, it was one of the best Lectures I have seen.
Goodbye Randy Pausch, you will be missed by many that knew, and many that didn't know who you were, but were inspired enough to think like you do. |

I remember watching that lecture online after reading this thread, and I was quite inspired. I forwarded it on to several people who also had similar reactions.
He was handling his death better than many of us handle life. Much better than how I'd be handling it.

The Wiki was updated this morning:
"On July 25, 2008, it was announced by Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America that Randy Pausch had passed away the night before."
The servers for his blog and site seem to be down. I imagine it is from all of the hits and is a bit overloaded. I don't see anything on the AP yet, but there is no reason to believe the sad news is not true.

I just watched the Randy Pausch special on TV.
Normally I would pass on the overly dramatic news stories that are really just vessels for commercials and ratings. But I knew I had to watch this one.
