Hillsdale, NJ		 yeah but it's slightly faster than OOL's dns from my unscientific test. Getting FIOS on friday so we'll see how it compares to VZ's dns server.

You're kinda missing the point here. We're not talking about whether DNS is fast or slow.

Verizon DNS servers suck. I too switched to OpenDNS and noticed a big improvement in web page speeds. Even with FIOS I was lagging when trying to paint a page. With OpenDNS, the page loads are way faster, no lagging.
