 So?? Where's our Adventurers?

We had some experiences posted here:..starting w/ the lovely Akasha See Profile

»[Discussion] My Joost Adventure Begins
»My Joost experience so far.
»[Discussion]Do you currently use any TVoIP services?

Anyone else try a TVoIP app? Any experiences to impart..?
Any reviews to submit?

We had some great member input here:
»[How to] A few TV over IP sites/links I found

..which helped contribute to the FAQ (still ongoing) here:

»TVoIP FAQ »As Submitted by Members

Let's hear from you guys

Working on it.

My main computer is working well and is being use a lot for work, so I really don't want to install anything that could hurt performance. So the only 'TVoIP' I do is the occasional online video on NBC. CBS has nothing I want to watch and ABC now requires a unique player. Bah. At least NBC (Chuck, Heros, JourneyMan) still just uses the Flash player...even if it does lock-up the browser on occasion.

A friend also wants me to do Skype. I'm not installing that on my primary machine either. So I'll probably setup a secondary on the desk for these types of applications.
Now to find the time to build that machine and do all the setup!

Well, I only consider programs that stream live TV relevant to this forum. Otherwise, Youtube might as well be discussed because there are sometimes complete episodes there. Problem is that just about all of the applications that offer live tv focuses on Chinese channels. Doubt anybody here cares about my adventures with anything other than English content.

Awwww... {{{{{{{{{{{{{lil}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I decided since my reformatting of the hard drive, not to reload Joost. IMO, there weren't enough things on it that made me real interested in it.

Maybe I'll try again later or something.

There really is not anything of value out there yet. This forum may be a bit premature.

We can all learn the ropes together then as it becomes more mainstream

I know I've been dabbling w/ Joost..not extremely impressed so far, however.
Hopefully, as more discover what TVoIP can do - there'll be better choices out there

I've been using Hulu and some of the movie sites (joox.net, surfthechannel) and never have to watch regular tv anymore.

Fanfare from Comcast is also very good.

Thanks for starting this forum, there is a lot happening in the TV over IP space.

There are precious few ropes to learn. The Internet in general is going to have to grow in capacity before any of this is viable.

Hulu, Joost, LiveStation, Youtube.

That's pretty much all I need, WCBS streams their news live on the internet, so almost no need for TV.

But I have my lappy hooked up to my 32" LCD so it's awesome watching on it.

I like Live station for news although some of the people here might be a problem with the current channel offerings.
Al Jazeera, France, and the BBC, I did not find any other stations.

Decent picture, easy to use and does not crash like the last couple of versions of TVUPlayer.

Now if only Hulu would give me an invite.

Wait what BBC channels do you get? I don't get BBC World which is listed on their site. I only get BBC Radio 4 and BBC World Service Radio.
